Soya companies form association with CIPHET\'s help
For ensuring that people get quality soya milk and products, soya products
manufacturers have formed the United Soya Entrepreneur Association (USEA),
Punjab. The association would be getting technical assistance from CIPHET
Ludhiana and its director would be acting as patron.

Giving information,
owner of B K Soya Products Bachittar Singh, who was installed as president after
the meeting of soya products manufacturers at Alamgir Sahib, said that they
would be holding regular interaction with CIPHET scientists for improvement of
their products.

\"All members of association have taken oath that they
would not be using any chemical or adulteration in soya products,\" he said,
adding that so far 28 manufacturers have joined their association. \"We expect
that more manufacturers would be joining our association soon.\" Director CIPHET
would be acting as patron of our association and position would be transferred
to upcoming directors by default,\" he added.

Appreciating formation of
the association of soya products, CIPHET Director Dr R T Patil said that the
move would go a long way in promotion of soya products and providing quality
products to consumers. Saying that they would be supporting any such
associations formed in post-harvest sector, he assured to provide technical and
institutional support to the recently formed USEA.
